Freya Baska’s studio is nestled in her art filled turquoise minor cottage home situated along Bathurst Road, Katoomba. The pine featured walls give the quirky space a feel of warmth and European bliss. Freya always has her print press set up ready for the fun and exciting process of making Lino cuts. Lino cuts are similar to analogue photography, as the process is lengthy but the first print that comes off the press is holy moment, a surprise and wonder. Freya’s studio also doubles as an art school during the term. She is a trained art teacher in Rudolf Steiner education.
