    CURRENT EXHIBITIONS

    Springwood Community Arts Centre
    An exhibition celebrating 50 Years

    18 April – 12 May 2019

Fifty years ago, the Springwood Community Arts Centre (SCAC) was born as a place for people to heal after the devastating bushfires of 1968 when over 170 homes, churches and businesses were lost.
A relief fund was established by (then) Mayor Ern Lesslie and local artist Alan Lewis and Blue Mountains City Council generously provided an initial community building.
The Centre now runs many creative activities at 22 Ferguson Road cnr Great Western Highway Springwood.

To celebrate 50 years of operation, past and present members of the SCAC (including Alan Lewis and other award winning artists) are exhibiting their crafts, paintings and intricate hand-made textiles.
There will also be free demonstrations by our Spinners and Weavers every Sunday throughout the exhibition.
