The Wild Mountain Collective Book Club meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month. We are interested in speculative and non fiction narratives that explore the issues around our interconnected relationship to the natural world and one another as we face the challenges of the Anthropocene and learn from those cultures who have celebrated the sense of inter-being and the sacred as part of the Earth System.
Each month one member chooses a book or article, which then serves as the basis of a broader discussion.
So far we have looked at the following books:
- Charles Massey, Call of the Reed Warbler
- George Turner, The Sea and Summer
- Alex Evans, The Myth Gap
We are taking a break over December and will meet again on the 3rd Sunday of January 2019
Venue—8 Waimea Street, Katoomba (tel: 0458 158 485) with views out over Katoomba Falls
Times—3.30 – 5.30pm
Bring along an offering—drinks or nibbles
