Dirk Romeyn is a self taught artist and wood craftsman who was born in the Blue Mountains and now lives in Blackheath. He is proud of his local heritage as well as his dutch ancestry.

Dirk’s deep knowledge and love of the Blue Mountains continually inspires his work. He creates unique wooden sculptures, and his paintings and drawings reflect the breathtaking beauty of his surroundings. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and has pieces in collections both in Australia and overseas. His home studio is open by appointment.

OUT OF THE BLUE EXHIBITION

After a two-year COVID delay, BMCAN is able to go ahead with its Out of the Blue—Life and Artistic Practice in the Blue Mountains Exhibition at NSW Parliament House, hosted by our local Member Trish Doyle MP.

Formal opening by Trish Doyle on Thursday 12th May, 12.30 to 2 pm at which the prize winners will be announced.
