Kristyn is a fibre artist who works with the crafts of macramé and crochet and is based in Woodford in the Blue Mountains.
Kristyn began experimenting with different crafts when her children were young and was drawn to macramé and crochet for their meditative and therapeutic benefits.
Kristyn’s hobby soon turned into a business and she now stocks her items in four different stores in the Blue Mountains, as well as selling through her online store www.consciouslycrafted.net.au
Kristyn’s creations include macramé rainbows, plant hangers, earrings, baby mobiles and other home and nursery décor items, as well as a ‘Cradle of Life’ range of products which are a nod to her work as a maternity consumer advocate.
Kristyn has a strong focus on sustainability and uses materials sourced from second hand crafts stores or materials that have been recycled and sourced locally.
Keen to share the therapeutic benefits of her craft with others, Kristyn began teaching workshops at venues across the Blue Mountains and now offers online workshops for those who are unable to travel outside their home.
